Vegtables

Did you know the Group had an allotment?

Well, we have just acquired it and before we can get down to showing our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts how to grow their own fruit and vegetables we need to prepare the ground.

As well as teaching our members about  growing  and gardening we hope to raise funds for the Group by selling our produce.

But before all that………

We are planning a work party for:-

Sunday 21st March 2010.

At Bradstone Brook Allotments.

10.00am- 4.00pm.

The allotment is very overgrown and we need to clear the site, dig some compost and manure into the ground and erect a fence before we can start with the planting.

You will need to bring your own tools, gloves etc and wear your  old clothes.

Please note: Parking is very limited at the allotment. If you are bringing a car down please park at the Scout HQ and we will transport you from there.

The new container

Written by:skip on 3rdDec 2009

On TUesday of this week we took delivery of our new secure storage container.

Unfortunately we have had to temporarily place the container on an area of the common until the ground dries out enough to get the crane onto the grass without ripping the ground up.

We appologise for any incovienence caused by this.
